The wooden box with holes is a hit with children aged 36 months and older, combining playful fun with cognitive training. The educational game consists of a sturdy wooden box with four openings and an attached key. With three difficulty levels – beginner, advanced and expert – and 80 challenges on 40 double-sided task cards per set, children solve engaging logic puzzles, from colour theory to counting and picture puzzles. The cards have a hole under each suggested solution that matches the openings in the box. While playing, children check their answers themselves: The key is inserted into the hole of the box in line with the presumed solution – and only with the right answer can the card be removed. This provides a sense of achievement that motivates and boosts self-confidence. The variety of tasks and the opportunity to improve step by step train cognitive abilities as well as concentration and patience.
